Wallets, without the jargon.

Leembi is built on Lens, an open social network. Your wallet is how you own your account and prove it is you. You do not need to understand blockchain to use Leembi — this page explains the few things that matter.

What is a wallet?

A wallet is an app (or a built-in feature) that holds a pair of keys: a public address, like a username anyone can see, and a private key that only you control. It signs messages and transactions so the network knows a request really came from you. It is not a bank account, and it is not an email login.

On Leembi your wallet proves ownership of your Lens account. Nothing is published or paid for unless you approve it.

Option 1 — No wallet app, just email

Choose Continue with email or wallet when connecting. Leembi creates and secures a wallet for you behind the scenes, so you can sign up and use everything without installing anything or writing down seed words. You can add your own wallet later.

Option 2 — Use any wallet

Already have MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, Rainbow, Trust, or another wallet? Choose wallet when connecting and pick yours. Leembi works with browser extensions, mobile wallets and WalletConnect.

  1. Install the wallet extension or app from its official website.
  2. Create a new wallet and back up your recovery phrase somewhere offline — never in a screenshot, note app, or chat.
  3. Open Leembi and choose that wallet when connecting.
  4. Approve the sign-in message in the wallet. This is free and does not move funds.

MetaMask, step by step

  1. Go to metamask.io and install the official browser extension (or the mobile app).
  2. Create a wallet, set a password and save your recovery phrase.
  3. Optional: add the Lens network if your wallet asks. Leembi requests the correct network for you when you sign in or pay.
  4. Back on Leembi, choose Connect and select MetaMask.
  5. Approve the sign-in message. You are now ready to post.

Signing vs spending

Most actions only ask for a signature, which is free and cannot move your funds — signing in, following, liking, saving, and posting all work this way.

A few actions are real transactions that spend gas or a stablecoin — creating an account, collecting a post, tipping, or boosting. Leembi shows the amount and you approve each one in your wallet. When sponsored gas is available, some of these are free.
